If I could select less than one star - than I would! I purchased what was advertised as a simple, one-time payment for a single CV. Instead, CVMaker quietly enrolled me into a recurring subscription — without clearly presenting this at checkout. The subscription terms were buried in negligible small print, and at no point did I knowingly agree to a monthly fee.What makes this even worse is that I received no receipt, no confirmation email, no login details, and no information about any subscription. I couldn’t even access my account because their password reset emails never arrived. For a company selling digital services, failing to deliver basic access details is unacceptable.Two weeks after the initial CV purchase (which I was happy to pay for), CVMaker began charging me over €20 a month for a subscription I never intended to sign up for. When I contacted them, they cancelled the subscription but refused a refund, hiding behind generic terms and conditions instead of addressing the core issue: unclear subscription practices and complete lack of communication.If this were an honest subscription model, why was nothing sent to confirm the purchase, login, or terms? Why is account access impossible without support? These are not the behaviours of a transparent or customer-focused business.I expect someone from CVMaker will reply to this review with a copy-and-paste message referencing their terms — but that doesn’t change the experience, nor does it reflect fair or ethical business practice.Avoid this company. The CV itself was fine, but the hidden subscription, lack of communication, and refusal to refund make this a service I cannot recommend.
