I am beyond furious with CZ and how they’ve handled my claim. I’m scheduled for two critical surgeries—an ACL reconstruction and a meniscus repair—in my home country, not the Netherlands. According to my policy, CZ is supposed to cover 70% of the cost based on Dutch hospital prices when we have surgery abroad. But what did they offer? A pathetic €3,336.19, claiming these two separate surgeries are somehow just only one surgery!This is outright nonsense. My surgeon, along with multiple hospitals, has made it crystal clear that these are two distinct surgeries: one for the ACL reconstruction and another for the meniscus repair. Despite this clear distinction, I was informed during a phone call with CZ's customer service representative that CZ only considers these two procedures as one surgery under Dutch healthcare standards. CZ's decision to treat both surgeries as one is just a way for them to avoid paying what they owe. It's completely unfair and leaves me stuck with a huge financial burden that I shouldn't have to bear.The way CZ has handled this is absolutely unacceptable. Their customer service has been misleading and dismissive. They are clearly not living up to the terms of their own policy, and it’s an insult to anyone who puts their trust in them.If you're thinking about getting insurance with CZ, think again. They may leave you high and dry when you need them the most, even if you have every right to be covered. I'm outraged by this situation, and everyone needs to know how CZ really treats its customers.
