Summary: My experience with Daals has been extremely frustrating. After weeks of waiting for a replacement for damaged furniture, I was told the items are out of stock, leaving me with no choice but to request a refund. Repeated false assurances, misleading information, and excessive delays make this company completely unreliable - avoid at all costs.

I don’t normally leave reviews based on a negative experience, but I feel it’s important to share how Daals handles returns and replacements. I hope this review can shine a light on the delays, misleading information, and poor service I have faced, so other customers are aware of what to expect.

I ordered two Maru 2-Drawer Bedside Tables, Silver Oak, which arrived damaged on 4th February. Both units had scratches and chips on multiple components. I reported this immediately and provided images. Since then, there have been repeated delays and conflicting updates regarding replacements, including further delays because my initial email was not received.

Initially, I was told that replacements could take up to 10 days to be arranged. During this time, I contacted customer support for an update and was advised that the exchange was being reviewed and that someone would be in touch shortly. They also stated that my replacement products were undergoing quality control. Waiting 10 days for a replacement already seemed unreasonable, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, assuming this was part of a process to ensure the new items would arrive undamaged. I was very wrong.

After the 10 day period had passed and I hadn’t received a confirmed date for exchange, I contacted their web chat for a further update, where I was once again told that someone would be in touch soon and that my replacement order was under quality inspection.

Several emails later, I discovered that the claim my replacements were in quality control was false, as I was recently informed that the items were actually out of stock and I would need to wait for a restock before my replacements could be processed.

During the initial 10 days I was also told that a specialist courier had to be arranged in order to collect the damaged items, despite the fact that the originals were delivered quickly and efficiently by DPD.

Throughout this process, I have repeatedly been thanked for my patience, yet my patience has long since run thin.

After waiting three weeks for a confirmed exchange date, and now learning that further delays are expected due to the items being out of stock, I have no choice but to request a refund. The entire experience has been utterly ridiculous, and I cannot support a company that treats its customers with such disregard.

I am now being told that a further 10 days is expected for the collection of the damaged units before I can receive a refund. Considering I ordered the items on 2nd February and they arrived by 4th February, this delay is outrageous. The total wait time is now expected to exceed 30 days for items I received damaged through no fault of my own, which is completely unacceptable.

As a first-time customer, this has created a horrible first impression. Such a shame, as I was really looking forward to these bedside tables after recently purchasing my first home.

I have also received emails from Daals asking me to leave a review to “have a chance to win £500” or “how was your recent experience with us”, which is laughable given how poorly they have handled this order. The contrast between their marketing and their actual service is staggering.

The damaged items have been sitting in my home, packaged and ready for collection, for three weeks, taking up space and causing significant inconvenience.

Reading other reviews, it seems this is a common issue with this company. It almost feels as though their delays are designed to prevent customers from ever receiving a replacement.

Overall, the combination of damaged products, misleading information, excessive delays, and unprofessional handling makes this company completely unreliable, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using them.
