The Dachman 87i is GREAT!The sound of the mic is terrific. It sounds smooth and warm, clean and clear. I'll be recording with it for years to come. The build is extremely solid and a very near match to my Neumann U87ai. Great fun to build, with clear instructions. I did end up contacting Dachman a couple of times with questions, and received extremely prompt, accurate, and super-helpful responses to all of my questions, resulting is a really great mic that will last the test of time and be a great addition to my mic locker. Well done, Dachman!
