Before surgery my prescription was -8.00, which meant life always involved glasses and as got older contact lenses. As a frequent contact lens wearer I was frustrated with not always being able to wear them and the frequent scratchy feeling that comes with them, bothered me a lot. As with most people, I'm sure, I was apprehensive about having eye surgery. However, Daniel Gore and his team were so thorough and really took the time to talk to me about my options. Laser was out of the question but ICL was a viable choice. I was nervous as I didn't know anyone who had had this type surgery and again, because it's my eyes.After deciding that I wanted to go ahead with the surgery, I booked it. On the day I was suddenly very nervous, Daniel took the time to talk to me and give me the confidence I needed. The nurses and anethesiatist were so lovely and really looked after me the entire time.When it came to the actual surgery it was completely painless and very quick. The next day, when I woke, I was amazed at how perfect my vision was. Then next three or so weeks I had a schedule of eye drops and after only a few days I felt very normal.I also had a moment where I wanted some advice as I don't live locally to the clinic, and Shaima made sure Daniel reached out very shortly after my call. The support put me at ease but also knowing I could check in so easily gave me so much reassurance.I'm now just over a month post op and am still amazed by my perfect eye sight. I still have some glares at night but most of the time they are no issue, and Daniel has reassured me that with time these will lessen. Regardless though, I'm really pleased that I chose to have the surgery and that I chose Daniel Gore as my surgeon. I'd highly recommend.
