(Edit November 2021)I have recently been contacted by an outstanding DC Thomson customer service representative, Bette Smith. Without going into the absolute detail of her email to me - which was outstandingly positive, I have to tell you that my faith has been restored. Over the course of an email conversation, it was clear that she understood the value of the Beano/DC Thomson name, and the real negative impact on the brand, of complaints like mine. From my perspective, Bette has 'gone above and beyond' to rectify and make up for previous events. Obviously I cannot speak for anyone except myself, but I would suggest ensuring that there is some way for DC Thomson to contact you, and leave the door open for them, because there is at least one outstanding head of customer experience there who really cares about the brand and its customers. For this reason, I wish to retract my previously negative review.
