I hired Deege Ltd (Director: David Norman) to install a solar system and refurbish my roof under a settlement agreement, following a prior two-year delay where Deege limited failed to install a solar system despite a deposit being paid. What followed was a nightmare of delays, dangerous work, broken promises, and what appears to be a poor attempt to escape legal responsibility.Major Issues:Unsafe Electrical Work: Live wiring was left exposed in the attic, posing a fire and electrocution risk. Earthing cables were left unterminated. Even after being warned by authorities, David Norman ignored professional safety advice from the IET.Job Incomplete & Severely Overdue: The project is now 200+ days past the agreed deadline (Originally due to be completed on 24July 2024), with incomplete roofing, missing solar equipment (batteries, panels, conduit, incomplete wiring), and no certification or valid sign-off.Criminal Red Flags:Negligence: Unsafe scaffolding led to a serious injury in my family.Trespassing: David Norman accessed and performed unauthorized, unapproved work on a neighbor's property after damaging my neighbors property.Falsified or missing documentation: Required insurance, certification, and guarantees were never provided, or falsified.Lied about subcontracting a roofing company to carry out, Roof work they weren't accredited to carry out, including providing false paperwork. Repeated failure to act on formal notices and safety violations.Attempt to Evade Responsibility: There is evidence that the director David Norman may be attempting to offload Deege Ltd to a company called Upvolt Ltd — potentially in an effort to dodge liability for the unresolved issues, damages, and breaches of contract. Customers should be extremely cautious.Broken Promises & Poor Workmanship: Roof work was subcontracted to unqualified workers, resulting in structural defects, water ingress, and visible damage. Many repairs were promised, but never delivered. The director David Norman also demanded payments outside the agreed schedule and failed to pay penalties outlined in our legal agreement. This has caused deep financial harm, emotional stress, and has left my family living in an unsafe, incomplete home. Deege Ltd's in particular its director David Norman behavior has been dangerous, deceptive, and potentially criminal. I’m sharing this to protect others from enduring the same treatment.I am currently pursing multiple lawsuits against David Norman & Deege Ltd etc. please do not trust this person as he is a deceptive and fraudulent operator in the industry.I've had a front row seat to observe his business practice and its disgraceful.Avoid Deege Ltd (and any successor company like Upvolt Ltd) at all costs.------------------------------------------------------Update:please note that the Accreditations shown on their website i.e. MCS, NAPIT, RECC etc. DO NOT PROVIDE CONSUMER PROTECTION or maintain standards despite their marketing I have direct firsthand experience. Despite the proven violations and criminal behavior mentioned in this review, this company is still certified under these schemes to conduct business. I implore those reading this to pause and take the time to examine this company, their history and the accreditation bodies they belong to before, making the same mistake I did. This company is facing multiple lawsuits and an ongoing criminal investigation. Update: This review was originally posted in June 2025. After a significant period with no response from Deege, the company submitted multiple requests for its removal, including claims that the review was related to a different company not Deege Solar and was defamatory. These were independently reviewed by Trustpilot and rejected. The company’s public reply followed these moderation outcomes. The statements in this review reflect my direct experience and a factual timeline of events: the project was not completed or commissioned; any payment dispute arose after significant delay and incompletion; contractual penalties accrued and remain unpaid; property damage arising during the works remains unresolved and safety issues remain unresolved.Documentation was submitted which purported to certify works/completion, but did not reflect the actual status of the work done, and the parties carrying out certain works were not those originally represented. Prospective customers are encouraged to carry out their own due diligence.
