I am compelled to leave this review to warn other international users, especially those from countries under sanctions who legally reside elsewhere. My account was blocked despite fully complying with Depositphotos' publicly stated geographical sanction policy. I am a Russian citizen but have lived outside Russia for over three years, which is easily verifiable by my IP address.The support team's responses are a textbook example of incompetent and automated customer service. They first ignored my issue with a generic "your tax form is under review" message. When pressed, they revealed their true policy: they are actually blocking users based on citizenship, not geography, which is a direct contradiction of their own written rules.They then offered a "solution" that is technically impossible: to change my country of residence in my profile, which requires uploading a passport from that country—something a non-citizen resident simply cannot provide. They have created a Catch-22 designed to permanently lock users out.This company says one thing publicly but does another. Their support is unable to think critically, escalate issues, or provide any meaningful help. They hide behind automated messages and impossible requirements. Avoid if your situation is even slightly non-standard. A deeply frustrating and dishonest experience.
