Dermave …Don’t believe in the hype. It may just cut you like it did my wife

Dermave ladies grooming wireless device.. This company has let me down in more than one way. Constant excuses on why they won’t refund or replace their woman’s shaver. I bought their safety shaver (pink) that claims to not nick a woman anywhere, specially those sensitive areas. On the very first time she used it the circular cutting aspect part of the device cut her pretty good taking the skin with it.. now it was down below so she refuses to try it again. Now I didn’t get right on reaching out to the company in fact it was delivered to me on December 20th and I reached out to the company on January 19th approximately 1 week after she used it. She can’ hadn’t used it right away when I bought it. I had asked for my money back do to the cutting and their first response was I was outside their 30 day return so I would get no refund. My next attempt was then to get it replaced as a defective unit. They said they do that but I have to prove it’s defective. They asked for a video of me explaining what’s wrong with it. I responded that I’m not a subject matter expert on their device so I wasn’t going to attempt to describe what was wrong with it other than it cut my wife, so therefore it must be defective. The claim is that it won’t nick or cut you and in fact it nicked my wife sorry. After multiple failed attempts to upload a video to their site because they require such a small video and even my 15 second videos were too big for their website to handle. They kept asking me to attempt to upload it in a way that I wasn’t understanding. I’m an older gentleman and new technology and I are not good friends. Their site claims to have a six month warranty on parts which was responded with “that six months warranty, only comes in the play if you buy the extended warranty” they confirmed I did not purchase any extended warranty and started leaning on me to send videos in the format in which they required. I told them that the video I would be sending is just a basic video of the device.. what did they want me actually showing the device cutting my wife. They offered a 30% refund in a good faith gesture, which I declined because that’s an insult. All I wanted was the item to work as described and if not, then give me all my money back or if not replace the item. But excuse after excuse finally they won I gave up. I said this stress is not worth $45. The amount I paid for it. And it’s partly my fault because I looked for a inexpensive or cheap way to get my wife an item to cut her sensitive areas and that’s just what it did it cut her sensitive areas. People listen to me for items such as this don’t look for the inexpensive way out. There are much better products out there, but yes, cost a little bit more money but One they will do what they’re intended to do and two if you have a problem, you’re not gonna get a bunch of excuses when you try to get your money back or get stuff replaced. I would stay away from Jr companies like this one trying to make their mark in society off of our money selling a product that obviously doesn’t do what ex supposed to do all the time.
