There's an old saying that goes 'If something seems to be too good to be true, it usually is' so I went into this transaction with my eyes wide open. From the reviews here I'm suspicious that some of them are fake but who knows, maybe some people have had a good experience. I do know that if you're buying a designer Timothy Oulton chair that normally retails for £3,500 for £600, chances are it's not going to be great.The aviator chair arrived yesterday, nothing wrong with delivery, it was quick and efficient and the chair was study and looked well made. However, the company had sent a weird beige colour rather than the black I ordered (this is a tactic, more of which later) also and more importantly the materials used were a vinyl NOT leather. I spoke to someone at Designer Sofas 4U who insisted the chair was leather. It definitely isn't. It smells like plastic and peeling back the underside, you can see the fabric backing.They offered a £200 refund if I took this review down but then quickly changed their minds after I asked for the money first.To summarise - don't believe all the good reviews on here although some people may be satisfied and buy with caution. There is a good reason the prices are low - read the bad reviews first.
