Extremely disappointing experience. I bought a carpet for hall stairs and landing online/ by email in the Long mile store. I was not informed in advance that there would be an additional charge to lift the old carpet. Only found out when payment was made and invoice was received. Fitter no.1 arrived and left promptly and refused to lift the old carpet as it was glued down. I ended up paying additional charge for another fitter. Fitter no.2 came out a couple of days later and failed to check whether the bedroom / bathroom doors would close properly after fitting - the bathroom door still cannot close properly 2 weeks after carpet laid down. I've raised the issue with two managers / senior personnel and I'm still waiting on a response from them. The answer I received from the fitter " this is normal, You need to sandpaper the door, pay another fitter to come our and plane the door". Extremely poor communication and lack of follow up which is not what I would expect from a professional company. Would definitely not recommend based on my experience.
