**Candid Review of My Booking Experience** December 2025 We arranged our stay through a booking service because our daughter utilized them for her wedding coordination. Unfortunately, the booking process was quite problematic. I initially reserved a standard two-queen room for a week. When I later decided to shorten the stay to four days, I was informed that those rooms were suddenly unavailable. This was unexpected, especially since the hotel had only recently opened and was operating at about 50% capacity upon our arrival. The booking service informed me that the only remaining option was a preferred ocean-view room. Since we needed to attend our daughter's wedding, I felt compelled to upgrade. I ended up spending **$3.8k for just three nights** in a room type I didn’t require. To make matters worse, because the reservation was made through the service, I earned **no hotel loyalty points**—a disappointing result for a stay at a luxury resort at that price. The transportation aspect was another concern. The service sold us shared shuttle service, processed the payment, and then upon our arrival, the shuttle company stated they *do not provide shared service*. We had to pay $65 in cash for a taxi without a receipt and no way to recover that expense. Despite reaching out for a refund for the shuttle service I paid for, I have yet to receive any response. Additionally, when it came to making restaurant or spa reservations, the service offered no further assistance. They merely directed us to an email address that isn’t regularly monitored, which made planning exceedingly frustrating. Given this experience, I would not recommend using this booking service. You’re much better off **booking directly with the hotel** to earn your points, receive accurate information, and avoid the miscommunication and additional costs we faced. ---
