I ordered a pair of broccade trowsers from their website and was contacted three days later to tell me that the pair I ordered were not in stock, but an alternative was available for £65. I accepted the alternative and they turned up two weeks later. The trowsers were fairly good quality and I had no complaints... Until I received an invoice from TNT (courier) to tell me that I owed £38 in import duties and taxes. Searching the Devilnight website I eventually found a paragraph (in very small writing) that tells customers that they are liable for import duties, though nowhere does it tell you that the goods are shipped from China. I contacted Devilnight and they told me to contact TNT and tell them that the goods I had received were worth less than £10 and that they were 'a sample'. I asked them if they were telling me to lie to TNT and I received another email telling me not to pay and that they would sort it out. I received a further demand from TNT two weeks later, again Devilnight said they would sort it out. Eight weeks later I received the final demand from TNT with a threat of legal action, I contacted Devilnight and received no response after a week. So I paid TNT and have a very overpriced pair of trowsers and narrowly avoided legal action. Not going back to Devilnight in a hurry!
