Driving is an essential life skill. However I had blissfully spent 35 years avoiding it. Primarily I was extremely nervous and overthinking about driving.Yogi first understood my concerns and pain points and then proceeded to help me understand and correct them1. Steering Control : Used to drift left and right when changing lanes or maintaining lane discipline. Pointers shared on how you dont grip steering too tight when changing lanes and how you see yourself on the middle of the road helped immensely.2. Fear of speed : Was scared that going at higher speeds will make me loose grip of vehicle. Driving safely on high speed roads until the speed became unmanageable and then controlling it helped. 3. Awareness : Was aware of my surroundings and hazards in them, but was not able to clock that into driving. Yogi put me in multiple situations where he would explain what is a hazard and what is not. He would then ask me to do the same and that corrected it.4. Anticipation : Meeting situations were always tricky for me. Yogi's Hot Wheel toy cars really helped understand visually as they explained what I need to look for in these situations. 5. Manoeuvres : Was absolutely confused on where to steer when making manoeuvres. Yogi patiently taught me many many different ways, and when I still messed up, he came up with the simple solution "steer where you see the gap". Problem solved.6. Observations: Was doing observations but they were not effective. Yogi helped to clock in that observations go hand in hand with actions that you need to take.7. Roundabouts : Last and most painful of these topics was roundabouts. Either I counted wrong exit, or peeled off too early or went into wrong lane. I feel bad that Yogi must have got a high BP when I was approaching or in a roundabout. But true to his self, he explained them in a variety of different ways like Google Maps, drawings and checking my understanding with quizzes to see if what he explained was clear to me.Yogi is highly recommended and I can attest that without his guidance I couldn't clear my driving practical test today(25/11). So thank you Yogi!!
