The treatment plan I agreed to included composite bonding on 16 teeth and two dental bridges for the lower sides of my mouth. Unfortunately, I had to extend my stay because the lower left bridge broke during the initial fitting and required remaking. Just two days into the treatment, while still in Turkey, one of the composite bonding restorations on my lower front tooth broke before all the agreed work was completed. This early failure indicated a concerning level of workmanship. When the left bridge broke, the clinic manager suggested my jaw was 'tight' and recommended Botox injections, which I declined. This reasoning contradicts my dental history, as my UK dentist has never mentioned jaw tension, and I had not experienced issues with crowns or bridges before my treatment here. The suggestion that my jaw size caused these failures seems more like an excuse than an acknowledgment of poor quality work. Although I received a mouth guard as a 'gesture of goodwill', its cost pales compared to the extra expenses I faced, including a new flight and hotel after being forced to leave our original accommodation due to treatment delays. On September 6, 2025, just a week after returning to the UK, the composite bonding on my top front tooth broke. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to the clinic via email and phone, I received no response and had to pay £200 for urgent dental care in the UK on September 8, 2025, to return to work. On September 20, the lower left bridge broke in half and a top tooth chipped, causing me pain and sensitivity while making it difficult to eat. By January 10, the lower right bridge completely detached, leaving me with:
• Two exposed teeth
• A missing tooth
• Severe sensitivity to temperature
• Inability to eat on either side
• An injury from sharp edges from the shifting bridge. After persistent follow-ups, I was directed to attend a partner clinic in the UK on October 12, 2025. There, both the treating dentist and a representative confirmed that the work was subpar and basic checks were not performed prior to concluding treatment. The representative promised to discuss my case with the dental team in Turkey and assured that costs for corrective treatment would be covered. However, weeks passed without any follow-up despite my repeated inquiries. Additionally, I want to formally note that:
• I never received a written treatment plan or care summary, despite promises it would be provided before my departure on August 25, 2025.
• The bridges were sold with a 10-year guarantee.
• My UK dentist confirmed on January 5, 2026, that the treatment I received did not constitute a proper dental bridge but rather a dental plate that was not secured correctly, explaining the issues I've faced. Given the numerous problems, pain, lack of aftercare, misleading upselling, and financial losses, I am formally requesting a partial refund for the unsuccessful bridge work. I have sent this as an email to the clinic and hope to receive a response this time.
