I purchased a motor policy from Direct Line following a comparison site quote. I understood, as a Web only policy I could make changes online myself. What I didn't spot was that there was a charge for any change, whether or not it involves additional premium. I understand a charge if you change car etc., but for a simple change eg registration plate, this is usually foc on most Web only insurance policies. The moral: check the small print carefully
