Looking for advice, what do next This evening we were let down my our vets, (Downlands in denmead) vets we have been with for several years. We had a severe emergency and our dog was half lifeless so we called the vets to which we were told they had no appointments and couldn’t see him. They offered us an appointment at another practice and we told them he was not in a stable enough condition to travel and that he needed to be helped with immediate effect by our local practice who we had all faith in until today. In the process of this we called another vet practice who were very helpful but did inform us that as we were registered with the other practice it was their duty of care to help the dog asap. We took the dog into the practice hoping that they would be able to see him if we presented him to them however we once again were told they couldn’t see him as there was already emergencies in the waiting room to be seen ( they were all bright as buttons, tails wagging and barking) and they still weren’t able to take 10 minutes to see our dog who could not even lift his head off of the floor. We were again turned away which resulted in our dog unnecessarily suffering and ended up passing in the back of the car on the road.Downland vets in denmead
