I tried to buy a downloadable workshop manual and at the payment process, after entering my debit card details, the website returned an error code, like it hadn't loaded the next page properly. I returned to the previous page and tried it one more time - exact same result. I had checked the location of the company on the website before attempting the purchase, it listed an address in Liverpool, UK. But the phone number looked like a US one - a quick google check later and the phone number showed as a Florida, USA number. I went to the online chat - it said "offline at the moment"... also wierd at 11am UK time, if the company really is in Liverpool. Finally I emailed them reporting the payment problem. A few hours later David replied by email suggesting I hit the refresh button on the payment process and to double check the card expiry date. The card is of course valid and I use it on an almost daily basis - also to the best of my knowledge you should ABSOLUTELY NEVER hit the refresh button in the middle of an online payment process as this can trigger multiple payment requests for the same transaction. Afterwards, my banks fraud prevention alert was triggered and the bank called me to discuss 2 declined online transactions. They also confirmed that the bank details from which the payment request came was in Florida, USA. So although I didn't loose any money this time, this is a highly dodgy outfit and definitely not a Liverpool, UK-based business. I would be concerned for those people here that gave positive reviews and actually got the workshop manuals they were looking for - might be a good idea to virus-check your downloaded files and make sure you haven't also downloaded some malware, trojans etc. A legit business wouldn't go to such lengths to mislead as to their actual physical location. I wouldn't even mind if they were a US business.. they don't need to be local to me for a simple PDF download, but providing misleading/erroneous info smells of scam to me. If it looks like it and smells like it, it usually is.
