A 3 month post op review

I have waited almost three months to write this review so that I have time to heal and see my results. I am in my mid thirties, a black woman, and I have never travelled so far out of United States before. Doing something like this was definitely a leap of faith especially while keeping it to myself to stop others from giving their negative inputs. After everything I have to say that I am so satisfied with my experience with Dr. Bugra and the very stylish Yağmur. Yağmur made me feel comfortable enough to place my deposit and basically held my hand the entire 5 months it took for my date to come up. She was patient, calm, answered my questions and helped me make a thousand changes without any complaint. She recommended the upper bleph and thank God I listened. If it wasn’t for her I would have never jumped on a 14 hr flight to a place I have never been to be put in the extremely vulnerable position that plastic surgery puts you in. I did a video chat with Dr. Bugra months before I met him in person and I was nervous to actually meet him because doctors can be very cold people but when he came in to meet me and do my markings I was put at ease. He answered more questions and had a bedside manner that made him feel human and made me trust him more. My surgery was long and waking up from being under anesthesia was horrifying. The hospital nurses weren’t great or warm but the CNAs were wonderful. Kind, compassionate, good women who came in and checked on me. They talked to me using the translator apps and made me smile. I was glad to be in a hospital post surgery for the help and regular meds. I was beyond happy to leave and get back to the hotel. My room was warm, comfy, and cozy. The nicest hotel I’ve personally ever stayed in. The food was amazing! I kind of starved in the hospital because the portions weren’t enough and I’m American so I wasn’t use to the food selections. But it was just hospital food. The staff there were very kind and didn’t make me feel weird because my face was very very swollen. I saw Dr. Bugra 3 out of the 6 days I was in Turkey for dressing changes and follow up but he and his assistant Yağmur were always just a text or call away. That is still true today with me being back home in America. I cannot forget to mention my amazing lymphatic massage therapist who became the highlight of my days at the hotel post op. I had three sessions with him and they were worth every single penny. He was very professional, kind, great at his job, and I felt safe alone with him. I saw Dr. Bugra the day before I left for home and he did a final dressing change on my incisions and an exit interview. Everything looked great and they made sure I had transportation home the next morning. I got to the airport early and made sure to have wheelchair assistance. The flight home was soooooo long but honestly after post op day two I had absolutely no pain so Tylenol for the discomfort was enough. Fast forward to right now my face looks so good. I got a chin implant and Dr. Bugra chose the size for me and it’s perfect. I got my breast redone and they look so good I can’t wait to wear backless shirts and tube tops all summer. I will say be prepared for a long healing journey full of mental ups and downs. The first time I ever had plastic surgery I only had a breast augmentation and that was okay. I had that surgery in America and didn’t get 1/4 of the care I got in Turkey for the price. I was young so I accepted my original surgeons horrible bedside manner and the fact he ignored my wishes to have a lift with my implants. Needless to say Dr. Bugra had his work cut out for him. One of my boobs had a contractor and the other bottomed out. When Dr. Bugra removed my original implants from the American doctor one was 400cc and the other was 500cc. I never knew. But back to now. I’m very happy with my decision to put my faith in Dr. Bugra and I will be back for a revision tummy tuck that I shouldn’t even need but I do because the same American doctor that botched my breast also botched my tummy tuck. Also Turkey is so beautiful. I wish I could have explored the area a little but I just wasn’t up to it. Not many speak English but the vibes were good and it felt like a mini vacation were I could just exist by myself without feeling alone. I got so use to not speaking sometimes I didn’t realize when the hotel managers were talking to me in English. If you are a loner or need to unplug from being social you would love it. I surely did. I went right after Christmas and I didn’t see anyone else in the hotel who had surgery as well. Nor in the hospital. If you are a super social person and need to be surrounded by people in a similar situation as you then maybe bring a friend.
