I did a lot of research before choosing doctor dogan. I think all up I looked at options and other clinics/ surgeons for about 6 months. I ended up choosing dr Doğan after I joined the Facebook support group and found people who live in my town, asked them questions etc and was 100% confident.
The surgery went great. The team were all friendly and even knew it was my birthday a day after my surgery and all wished me a happy birthday! Which was really nice considering I went there alone and my own family and friends didn’t even text me happy birthday 🤣
I noticed a review saying pain meds weren’t strong enough. It may be different for everyone but you don’t need stronger ones. The first day you are on IV drip pain relief. You HAVE TO WALK WALK WALK. The more you force yourself to get up and walk the quicker the pain goes away. By the third day I didn’t need any pain relief and I actually changed my flight to go home earlier.
I didnt really get to see Dr Doğa much, but I do remember him and another surgeon right before my surgery. I also want to credit the other surgeon too for giving me a successful surgery.
The whole team is a well oiled machine from the second you get off the plane with transfers. To arriving at the hospital and being checked in. To the care you receive before and after the surgery. Nothing is missed and everything is covered.
I feel like it’s all pretty straightforward and follow the guidelines for food and nutrition and you’ll be ok.
I am 7 weeks post op, starting weight 98.8 and now 82 exactly as I type this. (16.8kgs down)
I could never have achieved this without the surgery. I am grateful for the price also as I could never have done this in Australia at Australian prices.
With that said, the hospital in turkey is far superior to any Australian hospital I have been in. It is literally 5 star and the cleanest I have EVER seen!
I am already enquiring for a mummy makeover once I’m able to and will 100% return to turkey and whichever surgeon I am recommended by dr Doğans team as I have full trust in them!
