Dear Dr YusraI am fully aware registered businesses are required to pay VAT. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that during my initial treatment of Sculptra (face and neck) the cost no doubt was inclusive of VAT, my concern was during the second treatment there was an added charge of VAT, which was not mentioned at any point before my attendance. One would expect an established business to use transparency and clarity from the outset. For instance, clients are made fully aware that a cancellation without notice will result in a loss of deposit etc. In the same instance clients have a right to be informed of additional fee charges from the outset to attending appointments. I received communication reminding me of my planned appointment to ensure my attendance, would it not have been common courtesy to inform me of the additional charges at this point rather than springing the surprise on me prior to my procedure. I do not dispute that Terri mentioned the additional charges MINUTES before the procedure and I clearly made her aware that I SHOULD have been informed in advance of my attendance, giving me the opportunity to decide whether I wished to proceed and certainly not when I was made to feel under duress. When Terri requested me to sign (not a document by the way, but in fact on a small pad) there was no review of the so called forms as you state. And please remind me at what point did you or Terri assure me that my deposit will be refunded if I chose not to continue?? This is a blatant lie, not you or Terri discussed a refund of my deposit should I choose not to continue. I am utterly dismayed that you have reduced yourself and Terri into being dishonest to protect your credibility. It astounds me that you disrepute the professional code of conduct in a callous manner. Is it any wonder people lose confidence and faith in practicing clinicians like yourself. You mention patient confidentiality is the cornerstone of your practice and you would not practice without explicit consent. PLEASE, remind me when was my explicit consent sought by yourself or Terri? at what point did this consent take place? Another blatant dishonest statement !! Let me tell you, I have not and never will consent to any of my recorded content to be exposed on social media, it goes against my principles, so do you honestly think I would provide my explicit consent ? What is even more disturbing is that you have used Terri's good name to say you BOTH sought my consent, when clearly this did not happen. The fact that you can brazenly be so dishonest demonstrates your ruthlessness and flawed character. Whilst you greatly appreciate the opportunity to speak with me, I certainly do not wish to have the misfortune to have any further dealings with a someone identifying themselves as a Doctor who tarnishes the reputation of professionalism. Not only have you discredited yourself, your colleague Terri but your business with the lack of integrity, respect, morals and professional values.I feel it extremely sad that you are clearly driven by monetary gain which has rendered you to make dishonest statements. I have no interest in seeking a refund of the deposit paid and additional fees which I lost out on. I will take it as a lesson well learned. I leave it to you to line your pockets, clearly you need it. Why else would one put their credibility and reputation on the line?? I have a clear conscious and sleep well at night knowing I have no motive to be dishonest.I would have preferred to end on a note to say it was a pleasure, sadly it was quite the opposite, any degree of trust and faith I had in you as a so called Doctor has totally diminished. On a end note, I really do hope in the name of humanity you reflect on your dishonest statements and actions before taking advantage of the vulnerabilities and insecurities of others, this may come back to haunt you when you least expect !
