I would give no stars if I could. Where to start with ELE? The heating system that seems to churn out volcanic temperatures all year round and that residents have to pay for. The fact that you can have your heating off, go away for two weeks and still your bills will go up because of lack of use. The fact that you can’t read your own meter because that’s not the real meter and the actual one is in the ceiling somewhere. The fact that they failed to take a direct debit payment in March 2019, attempted to bill for it in December 2019 but refunded the same amount and then went straight to referring the ‘debt’ to a debt collection agency saying that they’d attempted to contact me (they hadn’t) and that I now owed them two months worth (I don’t, I got them to take the failed direct debit the following month, so they’re setting the debt collector on to me for their farcical erroneous refund). The fact that they never answer the phone or respond to emails so attempting to sort out any kind of problem just turns into a nightmare. This awful awful company has the monopoly in E20. Its diabolical.
