My Experience with the Easypaisa App – Why I’ve Decided to Stop Using ItI want to share my personal experience with the Easypaisa app, which led me to the decision that I will no longer use it.The First Incident:This happened around November when I changed my phone. I tried to log in to the Easypaisa app on the new device, but it just wouldn’t work. The app wouldn't authenticate or verify, and this wasn’t just my issue—many users were facing the same problem. When I contacted Telenor Easypaisa support, they told me it wasn’t their responsibility and referred me to a franchise. When I went to the franchise, they told me to go to the bank instead, saying it wasn’t their job either. Neither provided any help. Even local mobile shops couldn’t resolve the issue.When I called the Easypaisa helpline, they picked up the first time, listened to the issue, and then disconnected the call. After that, my number was seemingly blocked or ignored for a week. Every time I called, it was busy. After several months, I randomly tried again—and somehow, the app logged in successfully. But overall, this was my first bad experience with Easypaisa.The Second Incident:A few months later, I received a call from an official Easypaisa number (0347…). Their representative misguided me into activating a service called "Webdoc Health Insurance" without clear explanation. As a result, Rs. 1,000 was deducted from my account. Upon investigating, I found out this was actually a scam, even though it came from an official Easypaisa number.Normally, when there is a mobile package offer, the user receives a detailed message and decides whether to activate it. But in this case, there was no message, no written confirmation—nothing. After the insurance was activated, there was still no message from the company, which clearly shows they are doing this fraudulently even from their official channels.When I called the helpline again to deactivate the insurance and request a refund, they listened briefly and then cut the call. When I tried again, they kept me on hold for over 30 minutes before disconnecting without answering.From these experiences, I realized that Easypaisa is engaging in fraudulent practices, and they offer no proper customer support. Therefore, I have permanently decided to stop using the Easypaisa app, and I urge everyone to do the same. If you ever get stuck with any issue on Easypaisa, don't expect any real help from their helpline or support team
