Had the unfortunate experience of using eBay Kleinanzeigen to order a product, pay for it, and never actually receive the goods.A day after making the bank transfer I had received the following automated email from eBay: "The access of the provider, with whom you had contact, had to be limited by us, as we suspect that the user account is misused by third parties. It was probably changed without the user's knowledge either his original ads, new ads abandoned, or sent messages that he has not written himself.Therefore, please weigh carefully, if you would like to get in touch with this provider."Meaning that the user account had been blocked and all of the ads from the user removed. This also meant that I had no way of contacting the user. The seller had 32 active ads and had a positive satisfaction rating.The suggested approach was to report the case and wait for Ebay to evaluate the case. More than 2 weeks into this, and after writing several emails to Ebay, I did not receive any response other than some automated responses saying "it will take some time until you can get a personal answer".I was unfortunate enough to be a day late into cancelling the bank transfer after receiving the above automated email. Ebay Kleinanzeigen doesn't assume any kind of puchase protection for the user, and given that the satisfaction rating doesn't seem to mean anything on the website, I cannot recommend anyone to use the platform.
