I've been selling on ebay for about 2 years, had around 400+ orders and ~98% positive feedback, so I’m definitely not new to this. Everything was fine until last winter when I started getting weird cases from buyers.

One situation really got me. I sold an item (nothing crazy, around $120), shipped it the same day with tracking. USPS confirmed delivery, everything normal. Then after like 5 days the buyer opens a case saying “item is damaged and not as described”. No photos at first, just text. Then later sends some blurry pics that honestly could be anything.

I contacted support, uploaded tracking, proof, even screenshots of our chat. And still — they just sided with the buyer. Refund issued. Item not returned btw.

It’s like… what’s the point of seller protection if it doesn’t work? Feels like buyers can just say anything and get their money back. Support replies feel copy-paste, no real investigation.

After that I had 2 more similar cases. Same pattern. At this point I just don’t feel safe selling on ebay anymore. Too much risk.
