Be very careful when you use Ebay. Their so-called customer support is completely useless if they have a bad day (I suspect they have many bad days...). Once you have submitted a claim they do not like, they seem to have the right to accuse you for anything, not telling you what kind of "offences" you have commited. Their semiautomatic mail-answering system needed several mails just to understand the issue I had (even though I explained it ifrom the very beginning), which was a bad start of the problem solving in the first place. I spent months on finding out what the problem really was before - under pressure (and the excellent help) from PayPal - a "supervisor" was willing to come up with any real information of their so-called "concerns". I personally talked with about 7 helpful PayPal people and know they also spent many hours and many telephone talks with me and Ebay trying to solve the issue with Ebay - which was of course impossible as Ebay actually has no interest in playing with open cards. If I were PayPal I would be seriiously PISSED by this way of treatment from a business partner (PayPal never told me, but between the lines I had the very strong feeling PayPal actually were pissed too when I talked to them due to the totally arrogant behaviour of Ebay).
They have no problems spending months of YOUR time (and PayPal's time) on a case you do not know the full content of, and their responses to your emails that you send the so-called "resolution center" is answering completely different issues, or at the best, arrogant and meaningless "answers" to your messages. It does not seem they really read what is written to them. And all the mailing you have to go through before they seem to understand the message ends up to be "suspicious" itself. - and just another reason to be even more arrogant from their side. They promise to call you but never do either.
In the end I got the refund I claimed - with the help of PayPal that turned out to be no problem for the company that refunded the money. So actually I must have had an good case from the beginning. Which Ebay also would have understood if they only had a decent customer service.
Ebay is probably so powerfull they can behave like this for a long time. Just as the Roman Empire (understand me right)......
USE ANOTHER SITE IF POSSIBLE - BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE TO USE THEM!
