Several years ago I bought a pair of Ecco Seawalker shoes. They were the most comfortable shoes I'd ever experienced. Even though they were $200 a pair I bought several more pair in different colors. Unfortunately the soles of these shoes crumbled away, even shoes never worn and stored in a dark closet in an air conditioned home. Ecco's response? "Too bad, our warranty is one year. We'll give you 20% off on a new pair." I'd think long and hard about buying expensive shoes designed to only last a year, even with no wear. I'm done with Ecco. There are plenty of other good shoe brands out there.
