We used the semi gloss varnish to finish our brand new wood floors. We didn't stain the floors because we liked the raw look of the wood. This varnish covered beautifully! It did not change the look of the wood at all and is very low shine which we wanted. No smell and went on easily. I would highly recommend this product. Excellent customer service and quick shipping! Just be aware of UPS store trying to charge you an additional fee for pickup! ECOS was very helpful with that problem though, just call them.
