I have been an EE broadband customer for several years, and the decline in service since the merger with BT is genuinely disappointing.
Contacting customer support is exhausting. You are forced to go through a chatbot that repeatedly insists everything is working perfectly on their end and suggests restarting the router – something that clearly does not solve the issue.
The connection is unstable, with frequent speed drops. Even a wired TV connection struggles to function properly, which says a lot. Despite this, customer service continues to offer absurd excuses – from microwaves interfering with the signal to Christmas decorations affecting performance.
What’s most frustrating is that they can clearly see connection drops, yet still claim everything is fine and that the speed is “good.”
At this point, I am simply waiting for my contract to end so I can leave, as cancelling early would mean paying for a service that does not deliver what it promises.
