I booked EICR CERT for gas safety, electrical and asbestos checks shortly after moving into my flat.Their gas safety report stated the boiler was safe to use, but shortly afterwards a leak was found, prompting further checks. Multiple independent Gas Safe engineers then confirmed the boiler was unsafe and issued a “Do Not Use” notice. Significant flue-related issues had been missed, and the boiler had to be shut down completely during very cold weather.The company has said they will refund the gas safety check, but the refund has still not been received despite repeated chasing.Separately, builders later flagged highly visible material around a skylight as likely asbestos, which was not mentioned at all in the asbestos survey. EICR CERT told me that samples would only be taken as part of a different, bigger demolition survey, so I am now taking my own samples to send to a lab.As a result, I have no confidence in the checks carried out and will be paying for gas, electrical and asbestos inspections again with another company.A risk to our health, a waste of more than £500 and stalled renovation works. And continued excuses from them about people having left the company or bank glitches. Avoid!
