My daughter attended elevenplusexams tuition for two years, and I can say it has been instrumental in getting her the desired place at one of the top grammar schools in the country and I can say that selecting elevenplusexams is the best choice I made for securing her place for secondary education.I will list down some good points here that are unique to elevenplusexams. I will also list a couple of things that can be improved (but in no way an impediment)The good points first :1. The virtual learning environment provides plenty of questions to practice after attending an in person class in the weekend. Every week for each topic it has tests on newly learned topics as well as revision questions of past topics. The progress of the child can be easily tracked and parents and teaches can clearly see improvement areas (both in accuracy and speed) hence one can pinpoint where to spend efforts rather than wasting time in already strong areas.2. My daughter was offered additional support in weak areas based on less than expected scores in a particular topic (basically additional time of focused tuition), however this can only work with efforts put in by parents (it is a group tuition afterall, so once a weakness is identified, a parent is expected to work towards improvement)my only suggestion is the tuition center can do a better job and give one to one feedback to a parent and give directions3. Mock tests are GREAT. They make a huge difference and are pivotal to the success. These mocks are included in the cource fee (something that you may not get elsewhere). 4. Mock test reports are fantastic and eye opening. The mocks are no good if they don't help identify areas of improvement. The online environment shows very detailed picture of where a child is struggling5. Parent seminars and Parent Mock..a few months before the actual test, a series of seminars were held that gave real insights on exam prep and included a parent mock that gave a first hand feel to the parents on how the actual exam is likeNow for a couple of points where I feel there is a scope for improvement. (but this did not hamper us in any way)1.It would help if for each subject, parents can be given opportunity to talk to the actual teacher directly (in a managed way to avoid over zealous parents from bombarding the teacher with questions)2. Creative writing is not included in the main syllabus coverage (although there are specific sessions held on it, but not sufficient for top schools and this needs more hours of teaching and feedback)
