I recently enrolled in online beauty courses with Elizabeth Sands as a complete beginner with no prior experience. I was really hopeful, especially as the courses are described as being suitable for beginners.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t my personal experience. I felt the content lacked in-depth theory and foundational explanation, which is something I believe true beginners really need. Much of the material felt like information that is already widely available for free on platforms like TikTok, rather than structured professional training.
I also found the video quality to be lower than expected for a paid course, which made it harder to stay engaged. Overall, I didn’t feel I was gaining the level of knowledge or confidence I was hoping for.
I haven’t contacted the company regarding advice or a refund, as I decided instead to invest in face-to-face training with a reputable local salon, which I personally feel will better suit a beginner learning style.
This is just my honest experience as someone new to the industry. Others may have a different experience, but for beginners looking for strong theoretical foundations and structured support, I personally wouldn’t recommend this course. I've given 2 stars, as I decided not to reach out to the company for resolution.
