An awful time dealing with these guys, all about money

I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Embrace Leasing, and I would not recommend them based on how my order was handled from start to finish.I initially ordered a Hyundai Ioniq 5N, making it very clear at the point of order that I wanted delivery in February 2026. I paid a deposit of around £300 and was assured everything was in place.Several months later, I was told that the vehicle had allegedly arrived three months early and that Embrace Leasing had “no choice” but to deliver it immediately. When I explained again that I had been clear from the beginning about my required delivery timeframe, I was told they also had “no choice” but to cancel the order.At this point, no one clearly explained what would happen to my deposit. It was simply ignored in conversations, and I was left with the impression that the money was gone.After a month of back-and-forth, I eventually managed to speak to a manager who said I could reorder the car. However, throughout this period I was repeatedly told that any new order would be significantly more expensive, as prices had gone up. The revised quotes were far higher than what I had originally agreed.Only after a prolonged and stressful month did they finally agree to let me reorder the vehicle at the original price, which should never have required this level of escalation. By this point, both my wife and I were extremely disappointed and frustrated by how we had been treated.Shortly after placing the new order, I was contacted several times in January while I was away on holiday. When I eventually spoke to someone on the phone after returning, I was asked whether I authorised additional credit checks. I explicitly said yes and was thanked for confirming.At no point during that call was I told that the order would be cancelled.Despite this, I was later informed that the order had been cancelled and that I was now expected to pay a £300 cancellation fee. This was completely unfair and contradictory to what I had been told. The cancellation was justified by Embrace Leasing on the basis that January was a “pivotal month”, even though I had already cooperated, authorised checks, and had just come back from holiday.Since then, I have been repeatedly chased and threatened with legal action over this £300 fee. No goodwill gesture was offered, no accountability was taken for the original failed order, and no consideration was shown for the inconvenience, stress, or time wasted. Meanwhile, the original £300 deposit from the first order was never handled transparently or fairly.This experience made it very clear that Embrace Leasing prioritises money over customer service. Mistakes were made on their side, yet I was the one penalised at every stage. Communication was poor, processes were inconsistent, and staff were often dismissive. One manager in particular, Ryan Bishop, was especially difficult to deal with and contributed significantly to this negative experience.Overall, this was a stressful, unfair, and deeply frustrating process. I would strongly advise others to be cautious before committing to this company.
