This is a quality bike that you will enjoy riding. If you don't like something...you won't do it. This won't be a problem. I just purchased a Gazelle Avignon and my bike ticks off all the checkmarks. Quality, fun to ride, safe to ride! I'm 60 years old, hip replacement, need a knee replacement and I have not trouble riding for a couple of hours. You can get as much of a workout as you want.
