I highly recommend Laurence to any parent thinking of getting an English tutor for their child. My daughter was struggling a bit with her English lessons post lockdown and as she is quite quiet and doesn’t like asking questions in class I thought a tutor would be helpful. The difference in her confidence and ability since she started working with Laurence is enormous. She has gone from a student who was achieving grade 5 at the start of year 10 and really disliking English to achieving two 8s in her GCSEs and selecting English Literature as her A-Level choice. I have no doubt this is in large part due to Laurence’s tutoring - he puts a great deal of time and effort into his planning and this is evident from the results. I’ve tried other tutors for other subjects but we have never managed to find anyone else as good. It’s definitely a worthwhile investment.
