I strongly advise anyone considering booking through EnjoyTravel to think twice.
We paid in full for a car rental through this company, only to be completely let down upon arrival at the airport. After a long journey, we were informed at the rental desk that our booking could not be honored because our credit card was “not acceptable” as it wasn’t issued by a so-called high street bank. This was both shocking and frustrating. The card we used has been accepted multiple times before for car rentals without any issues. In fact, we ended up going to another rental company at the same airport and made a new booking on the spot — using the exact same card — and it was accepted immediately without any problems.
So not only were we left stranded at the airport, but we also had to pay again for a last-minute rental at a likely higher rate.
When I contacted the booking broker to request a refund, they responded by asking for several documents, including proof that we had sufficient funds on the card. Although I found this request unnecessary and intrusive, I provided everything they asked for promptly. Since then? Absolute radio silence.
It has now been almost a month with no update, no resolution, and no refund. I’ve followed up every few days via email and have contacted their live chat multiple times to chase the case. Each time, I receive either no response at all or vague assurances with no actual progress. There has been zero accountability and zero customer support.
The lack of communication and responsibility is completely unacceptable. Taking customers’ money, failing to deliver the booked service, and then ignoring refund requests is not how a reputable company should operate.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend booking through this company. Save yourself the stress, inconvenience, and financial risk.
