My experience in Zagreb was incredibly rich and diverse, almost like a narrative of balance—between the old and the new, as well as between professional development and personal warmth.
The highlight of my trip was undoubtedly the training on innovative teaching methods. It was truly motivating to explore strategies that shift focus from traditional lectures to a more student-centered approach. However, with a critical perspective, I couldn’t help but notice a bit of irony: while the theories we covered were advanced, the presentation of the materials felt somewhat outdated. In my humble opinion, the course would have felt more cohesive with the integration of modern tools and interactive technology for content delivery. It’s challenging to fully embrace the "new" when viewed through the lens of the "old," yet this contrast highlighted the importance of aligning the medium with the message.
Beyond the classroom, the atmosphere transformed thanks to a wonderful guide. He was incredibly kind, and his tours made the city feel personal. It wasn’t just about the historical significance of the buildings; it was about the connection he shared with the city during each walk. Having a guide like him reinforced the idea that, regardless of how much technology we incorporate into our lives, it’s the genuine human connection and kindness that leave the most lasting impressions.
Even the logistical aspects turned into positive memories. When an issue with meals arose, I was genuinely impressed by how swiftly and effectively it was addressed. That prompt response truly maintained the momentum of the trip.
Thank you Daniela
