Irresponsible company and customer service

I purchased a vintage 2007 Kongsgaard Chardonnay and was extremely careful placing it in my subzero wine fridge directly upon receipt. Unfortunately, when I went to open it a few years later it was spoiled with a foul smell and orange color. I contacted the company who provided an unhelpful response, saying the following: “As a wine connoisseur, I am sure that you understand there is an inherent risk of purchasing any aged wine; even if the bottle has been stored properly. I can assure you that the bottle was kept in the proper conditions up until it was sold to you in April 2022. We are unable to offer as refund as it has been over 3 years since the sale. However, I am happy to offer you complementary ground shipping should you decide to place any future orders.” Incredibly disappointed in this company’s response, along with the audacity to try to do business with me again by offering ground shipping. There are a lot of wine brokers out there, so make sure to do your research before you purchase any wine from them. No one should have to take said “inherent risk” of almost $1000. So disappointed! I’m escalating this to the Better Business Bureau.
