I am a Gold Guest and my Oartner Silver. We are booked to return from Malaysia back to Vienna last week. After several attempts to re-book due to cancellation of the new flights we both received e-mails stating we were getting refunds - no options or alternatives - they just planned to wash their hand of us, leave us stranded in Asia - and allowing them to then sell our seats to new passengers at sky high prices. This behavior is atrocious and abhorrent. Who ever agreed this policy within Etihad needs to fired. I insisted that my Travel Agdnt refuses to accept this proposal and we will get home at some stage meaning Etihad will have to honor their obligations. As for their Loyalty Program -really? When you treat your premium guests in such a way? They gave destroyed my opinion of this airline. Ryan Air in Arabic Attire. Shame on you.
