At the beginning of December we contacted Paul Blackburn at Eureka-Moments about Capital Allowances. Both myself and my wife were sceptical but as it was a no win no fee basis we gave it a go. Talking to Paul was very easy and he confirmed that we met the criteria. Paul worked with my accountants meaning I had to do virtually nothing! A survey was done in the middle of December and the paperwork was submitted to HMRC before the 31st January deadline. We received a report from Eureka at the same time informing us that we should not pay any tax this year (yippee!) and a refund was due. Also our tax liability would be reduced over the next few years. Our very welcome refund came through on the 9th February!If you have not applied for a Capital Allowances Rebate I strongly advise you to give Paul a call to see if you qualify!
