Bought Czech currency from Salisbury branch and found out once I got to the Czech Republic that 10% of my spending money was old currency not in use since 2022. Nowhere I went would accept this money.
What if it had been 50% or more? What would I have done in another country with not enough money for food or transport?
Spoke to customer services who offered to buy it back at same rate as I paid. The question of how this could happen as wasn't answered, very vague. They also said it wasn't important enough to escalate.
That's no good to me as I needed that money there. Couldn't afford to do everything that I had planned because of it. Really made my trip stressful and embarrassing to have people not accept my money.
