I booked a car through Norwegian/CarTrawler for a fixed price of 649 DKK.At the counter in Gatwick, the agent simply asked if an “Audi automatic instead” was okay.Nothing was said about any upgrade fee.When I returned the car (full tank, no damage, even earlier than scheduled), I received a bill over 600 GBP higher than the agreed price — based on a “Customer Choice” product I was never told about.Europcar claims I “accepted” it simply because I signed the standard pickup paperwork.No verbal explanation. No disclosure. No choice.My advice:Be extremely careful with Europcar Gatwick.Nothing is explained, and you may end up with massive charges you never agreed to.This was a deeply disappointing and misleading experience.
