Update: it is funny how quickly you get a reaction when you make a public complaint compared to zero response to several e-mails and filled forms like the one proposed in the reaction of Europcar. I will try once again but have no issues of getting a reply or solution from Europcar.---I booked the car through Easyjet and (in short) this happened at the Europacar desk in Gatwick:- When picking up the car the person behind the desk tried to upsell. She had 2 keys, one of the MG which would be our car and another key of a car which would have navigation and heated seats. Normally for 100 pound extra, but now only for 40. We declined this and the MG had navigation and heated seats anyway. Seems like very dodgy practice. - I had to sign a document, I asked what is was for,, the person said I was signing for the car not having any damage. She even joked it felt like “siding your life away”. The car didn’t have any damage but it seems she lied about what I was signing. - After that I had to swipe my card. I asked if this was for the deposit. She said, yes this is for deposit, this again seems like a blatend lie as my creditcard was charged anyway after returning the car.Getting a reply from the client service department is a real nightmare. I have send about 6 e-mails (one every week) to get a reply of 2 sentences by someone who clearly didn't care to read buy e-mails or check my case. Renting with Europcar has been an absolute disaster and I wil never do so again. I have bookked many cars with other rental companies all around the world and I never had any problems. Of course I wouldn't recommend anybody to book with Europcar.
