So after booking the car a few weeks prior, I download the app and fill everything in as Europcar says doing this before makes car pick up smoother.On the day, I'm standing at check out, bank card in hand to pay, waiting on the keys so I can take my son away for a weekend together, our first trip just the two of us.Then I het told I dont pass the soft credit check and so they cant give me a car. I'm not looking for credit, I'm willing to pay the full rental fee up front. Tough, no car.Excellent. So now I'm left thinking, I cant let my son down. Quick trip to Arnold Clark, drove out 15 minutes later in a hire car.When you get everyone hiring a car from yourselves to download your app and give all the information needed to make the car handover smoother, do you no feel that including your stupid credit check should be done then and there before sending all hire documents out as if done and dusted if you're gonna turn people away on the day?Complete waste of my time, and a horrible start to the day which almost ruined time away with my son. Will never attempt to use you again and will recommend everyone to stay away and go elsewhere before getting let down on day of hire.Shocking
