I booked my car through booking.com and paid my fee 2 months before arrival to Newquay airport. The booking was confirmed via booking .com 2 days before arrival and the day I arrived I was refused a vehicle with no reasons why. They left me stranded at the airport having to borrow money from family to pay for taxi to st Ives which Is over 1 hr away from Newquay and Cost me £120 one way I made an effort to contact customer service but they don’t have any contact centre to deal with a refusal and that you can only email which I did. 2 days later I get a response giving generic reasons for refusal and that I have to contact the data centre. Since then I have used another car company with no issues. How can a car europ car take your money and not carry out these checks before arrival especially booking so far in advance. DoNot use company you could get refused and left stranded with no vehicle with your family.
