We traveled with Eurostar for the first time this summer and were extremely disappointed.Several of our trains were delayed, with little to no information provided. The worst experience was in Cologne, where everyone was checked in, including many families with small children, only to wait for hours in a very small souvenir shop area while the train was nowhere to be seen. Staff clearly knew about the delay but still went ahead with check-in, which made the situation even more frustrating.We received no updates during the more than 3-hour wait. Traveling is already exhausting, especially with small children, and better communication and handling of the delay would have made a huge difference. To make matters worse, getting the promised refund afterward was a big hassle and took several months to resolve.Overall, very poor communication and a very stressful experience.
