I received a letter in the mail regarding my warranty being expired for my new truck and that I needed to “re-activate” my coverage. It had my correct contact info, vehicle info, and made statements about this being very time sensitive. I called the number on the letter and everything seemed straightforward until I was asked to pay $183/month for 24 months to “re-activate” my coverage. When I bought my truck 6 months ago, I made sure to get the 10-year/100,000 mile warranty… so obviously there was no need to “re-activate” and I sure-as-heck was not at risk of any warranty expiring anytime soon. This company is trying to screw people out of their money by misleading consumers (which im pretty sure is illegal). They make it seem like they are looking out for you by letting you know you’re coverage is expired, and that you need to “re-activate” the warranty (lies number 1&2) - there is a time limit on getting this sorted out, adding pressure to quickly make an un-informed decision on an expensive subject (lie number 3) - they are associated with whichever company made your vehicle (lie number 4) - plus a few more minor details that scream “WE OFFER NOTHING OF VALUE TO THIS WORLD!”Please, for the love of God, if you receive a letter from this company (it will be hard to tell b/c the only place they put their company name on the letter is all the way at the very bottom in fine-print) report them to the FTC.
