Instead, what I got was the opposite. Over the past year, it often felt like no one was actually managing my property at all.When my tenant moved out, I discovered that the property had been allowed to deteriorate so badly that it required nearly $8,000 in repairs just to make it rentable again. Many of these issues should have been identified and addressed long before move-out — that's the whole reason you hire a management company.Communication was another constant struggle. I received confusing, conflicting, and incomplete updates from different departments, often without anyone taking ownership. Something as basic as confirming whether the new tenant had moved in became a multi-email mystery. Every time I asked for clarity, I got more noise instead of answers.Maintenance coordination was equally disappointing. Decisions felt reactive instead of proactive, and I repeatedly felt like I was the one trying to manage the process from abroad, not Evernest.At the end of the day, the experience simply did not live up to the standard they advertise. What I needed was real oversight and professional management — what I got was stress, unnecessary expenses, and the constant feeling that I had to chase basic information.I’m now transitioning my property to another management company. I wish I had made that decision sooner.
