BEWARE!! THIS COMPANY IS PRETENDING TO BE LINKED TO UNIVERSAL CREDIT!
This law firm owned by the Georgiou family is running adverts on Facebook asking for people’s details in relation to a housing disrepair claim and they’re doing so pretending to be from the universal credit agency and other official government agencies.
The adverts are extremely misleading and have official logos from universal credit plastered all over the ads. This is to make people believe they are working directly with these government agencies when in fact they are not and charge claimants up to 50% of their compensation when it can actually be done for free through the housing ombudsman.
This is a clear and blatant attempt to trick claimants into believing they are being helped by universal credit.
I also called the number provided and asked if they were affiliated with Universal credit and the lady replied they were.
I have reported them to the SRA and the advertising agency board and submitted all of the evidence I have gathered.
My advice to this firm would be to take down those adverts immediately as what they’re doing is a breach of their duties as a regulated law firm and ILLEGAL!
BE VERY VERY WARY OF USING COMPANIES LIKE THIS WHO IMPERSONATE GOVERNMENT AGENCIES!
