I had my oven cleaned in 2023 and they did a really good job, however when I rebooked this time to get my oven and extractor fan cleaned, I was quite clear that the fan was the main thing I needed cleaning and they said that was fine. I was given a quote but when the technician arrived, he said it'd be an additional £40 which I agreed to. I also explained to him that the main focus needed to be the extractor fan. The technician then completed the clean and left. I removed the extractor fan covers and the amount of grease still on the fan was shocking. It didn't look like it had been cleaned at all.I called Extreme Homecare Oven Cleaning who were apologetic and said they'd send another technician to do a “reclean” which is funny since the fan looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. I was told it'd be an afternoon appointment a few days later. I would be out at that time so asked someone to be home specifically for the appointment. When I got home, I was told no one showed up. I called and was told the technician unfortunately didn't complete his jobs and was unable to make it and that they did try to call me to let me know. The next slot they had available was over a week later. I was told it'd be a morning appt probably to make sure the technician had time to come. On the 2nd rebooked appt, I waited in all morning only for no one to show up, I did however get a call at 13:30 to say the technician was 15 minutes away which was fine. However, 6 minutes later I got another call to say the technician had issues with his brakes and was at a garage and may not be able to attend the appointment but hopefully he would still come. Obviously this was a huge inconvenience as I specifically stayed home for this and now was staying home for a "maybe he'll come." At around 16:30 no one showed up so I called their customer service line and was advised that the technician wouldn't be able to attend but that they could book me in for the following Friday. I'd already had to move around my schedule twice for these revisits that now I just don't trust they'll turn up. I get it, car issues can't be helped but at least have the decency to keep me in the loop. The man on the phone seemed confident he'd still turn up but I knew no one would.At this point, I'd wasted so much time and effort to stay in for this appointment that I thought a partial refund should be made so that I could get the extractor fan cleaned by another company but this was refused and I was told they'd really like a chance to redeem themselves after the first "clean." I'd already given them two chances to redeem themselves but it’s clear at this point that recleans are not a priority.I sent a detailed email to their customer service team and was ignored. Great customer service there.
